Michael Pereira is an Associate Attorney with Hirzel Law, PLC and focuses his practice on association enforcement litigation. Mr. Pereira received his Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from the University of Michigan. After graduating from Michigan, Mr. Pereira worked to recover unclaimed property held in trust by the State of Michigan. Mr. Pereira earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, where he graduated magna cum laude and second in his class. While in law school, Mr. Pereira served as a teaching assistant, in the student bar association in various roles, as treasurer for the St. Thomas More Society, and first as a junior member, then as the Executive Editor of Outside Articles, for the Detroit Mercy Law Review.
Following graduation from Detroit Mercy, Mr. Pereira spent a number of years with the Michigan Court of Appeals, first as a research attorney, then as a law clerk to Judge Patrick M. Meter and Judge Anica Letica.
